To help you chart your next expedition, we’ve made improvements to our route builder. It’s now easier than ever to fine-tune the details of your route – in a way that you just can’t on a phone.

With an updated look and feel that brings all the heatmaps onto the same screen, the Maps page is your one-stop-routing shop. Subscribers can zoom in and plot their route right on top of whichever heatmap suits their needs.

Use the Global Heatmap to follow the road most traveled and go where the community goes. Use the Weekly Heatmap to banish uncertainty about seasonality and see hot spots from the last seven days. And after that’s all said and done, use your Personal Heatmap to break out of your routines and see where your map needs filling in. 

We couldn’t let runners and cyclists have all the fun. Maps on the web also support route planning for all 30+ GPS-based sports, so subscribers can see and create routes for all the ways they like to move. 

Once you’re done fine-tuning your plan, you can sync your Route to your device. All you have to do to access your Route on the go – from either the Strava app or your compatible device – is tap “Save Route,” give your Route masterpiece a name, and allow it to download.
